Every kid can be an All-Star.

A ministry of Camp Adventure & Shades Mountain Community Church.

Shades Mountain All-Stars is a basketball league in Bluff Park, AL, offering basketball programs for kids in 1st through 8th grade focused on skill-building, sportsmanship, and personal growth in Christ.

Shades Mountain All-Stars is a “semi-competitive” basketball program for kids in 1st–8th grade that is committed to teaching children fundamental basketball skills while encouraging them to strive for excellence in all areas of life, both on and off the court. The goal of the league is to create an environment where players can learn the foundational elements of the game, experience both winning and losing with the right perspective, and enjoy the excitement of healthy competition. At the same time, the program emphasizes making every child feel like a valued member of the team, no matter their skill level, so that each player grows in confidence, character, and love for the game.

Registration is open September 29 - December 1

Created with Purpose. Playing with Excellence.

Basketball For All Skill Levels

Our basketball program is designed to welcome kids of all skill levels. Whether your child has been playing for years or is picking up a basketball for the very first time, they will find a supportive and encouraging environment here. We focus on building fundamental skills, teamwork, and confidence, making sure every participant feels included and valued. Everyone is welcome to join and grow at their own pace.

Coaches That Care

We have coaches who prioritize developing excellent players over simply chasing wins. They invest time to understand each player as an individual, meeting them where they are and encouraging growth beyond their starting point.

“Semi-Competitive” Play

Unlike some leagues, we keep score but our goal is to learn how to win, as well as how to lose. Geared for young athletes who want to deepen their skills, embrace healthy competition, and build lasting connections. This environment encourages personal growth, teamwork, and resilience, preparing athletes not just for games, but for life beyond the sport.
